These are our operating terms and conditions. When purchasing:
- It is expected that pupils will have regular lessons, at least one a week. Each lesson is 60 minutes in duration.
- Payment for the driving lesson will be made at the start of each lesson. One driving lesson is payable in advance (see clause 7).
- On the first driving lesson, pupils must produce a valid provisional category B or other appropriate driving licence.
- When booking a driving lesson with the instructor, the pupil must declare that they are not precluded from driving due to any court judgements.
- When booking driving lessons, the pupil must disclose any physical disabilities, which could affect their driving.
- The pupil must be able to read a vehicle number plate from the distance as set out by the DVSA.
- Any driving lesson cancelled within 24 hours of a driving lesson will be charged. If a pupil fails to turn up for a lesson the instructor will try to make contact by knocking on your door or by telephone. Your instructor will wait for 10 minutes before abandoning the lesson. The lesson fee will be charged.
- The instructor will not be liable for any refunds due to the driving test being cancelled by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) at short notice.
- The instructor will not be liable for any refunds due to mechanical or electrical breakdown of the vehicle when on a lesson or when on a driving test.
- The instructor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the vehicle for a driving test if the pupil has not reached the required standard of driving. This decision will be made without the loss of the driving test fee for the pupil.
- Your driving instructor will book your practical driving test in line with the waiting time at your chosen test centre. The fee must be paid to the instructor prior to booking.
- On the day of your driving test the car fee will be £45.00 plus your lesson time. This is payable on the last driving lesson before your practical driving test.
- In the interest of comfort and safety pupils are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing which does not restrict movement. Pupils must also take note of any medication they are taking that may affect their ability to drive safely and advise their driving instructor accordingly before taking any lessons booked.
- Driving test bookings always take priority over other lessons. Therefore, your lesson may be postponed to allow for someone else’s driving test and vice-versa. Changes to lessons as a result of this will be notified immediately.
- Please note payments must be made in advance of the training when booking a fast track course. To book a course, a 50% deposit or the full course fee (if the course start date is within 4 weeks of the booking date) is required. Please note the deposit or any subsequent training fees paid are not refundable in the event you decide to cancel the training once the booking has been accepted by the driving instructor. At this point a binding agreement is made between yourself and the instructor.
